program where international experts of the MoW

for nominations are invited and their communication

the potential documentary heritage in nomination is
recognized by members of a society or community
in the contemporary times, or associated with a
spiritual (religious) property or figure. But it is noted
by experts that such significance should not be
     manipulated or fabricated just to fill out the form;
simply, this section should remain clearcut and
     definite.
Section 7.3 of the nomination form is the
“Statement of Significance,” which is is usually
understood as world significance. This is
     particularly important because experts in
UNESCO’s MoW Programme are most likely to
focus on this section in order to understand how
the item is significant to the world according to
what is written by the nominator and to determine
the item to be inscribed as documentary heritage
in the MoW Register. Moreover, logically, the writing
on this section summates uniqueness, meaning
and other intrinsic values of the document based
on historic and social, community or spiritual
significance mentioned above. In addition, such
significance must be understood from a global
perspective with universal norms or standards
