Vol.01 with Li Yawei Korea and China,”
Ms. Li explained. Initially drawn to China’s
maritime policies, she soon realized how closely
linked China’s seas and islands are to Korea’s.
This inspired her to study Korea’s maritime
and island policies, hoping to promote bilateral
exchanges and sustainable development.
“Since the seas of China and Korea are
connected, understanding both countries’
policies is essential for mutual growth,” she said.
“My research delves into Korea’s island policies
from the 1970s to the present, examining
successes and areas for improvement.”
Looking ahead, Ms. Li envisions her work
fostering stronger ties between the two nations.
She aims to share insights from Korea’s island
policies with China and vice versa, promoting a
future where maritime and island strategies are
mutually informed and collaborative.
