Islands of Korea, Islands of the World A Transformative Experience KIDI Business
            with KIDI Academy

In December 2022, Ms. Li completed the 8th cohort
of the KIDI Academy, which featured a three-day
            program in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do. The
immersive experience combined lectures on island
policy, interactive sessions with island residents, and
            trekking on Yokjido Island.

Recommended by her professor, Ms. Li valued the
program’s hands-on approach, which offered both
theoretical and practical insights. “I was very satisfied
with the program. Listening to island residents during
the lectures provided a deeper understanding of the
            challenges they face,” she said.

Looking ahead, she suggested more tailored
programs for researchers, such as specialized courses
            segmented by participants’ expertise. “Customizing
the curriculum for those conducting advanced
research would add even more value,” she added.
