Dochodo Hydrangea Park:
A Festival of Blooms
in a Dreamlike Garden

Vol. The Dochodo Hydrangea Park was established
behind the former Dochoseo Elementary
School, which closed in 2005. Since then,
the space has been lovingly transformed
into a hydrangea-themed garden. Featuring
traditional Korean hanok buildings, a
wellness-themed garden, and floral pathways,
the festival continues to evolve each year with
Hydrangeas in full bloom inside a garden of dreams creative new ideas and thoughtful design.

As a classic summer flower, hydrangeas begin
blooming in mid to late June and remain in
full bloom through July and August. Around
this time each year, hydrangea festivals are
held throughout Korea, but Dochodo’s event
stands out. Home to over 30,000 hydrangea
plants across 15 varieties, the park offers
one of the most breathtaking displays in the
country.
