                                                     What now?
                           Policy Response The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has taken steps
                                         to ease delivery burdens in island areas.
                       As part of its 2023 Coastal Shipping Policy, it began subsidizing ferry freight costs for delivery
 Goheung County, Island C – Uses both passenger ferry and private boats
                               vehicles. Looking ahead to 2024, the ministry plans to expand support to
                                     cover additional delivery surcharges for island residents.
