Manifesto of
of the Queensland
Labour Party
This is an early document of the Australian Labour
Party. The Manifesto expresses the Party’s complaints
about the ruling class at that time, especially on the
topics of social justice, elections, and land reform.
The ruling class included shepherds, employers, and
the government, who were thought to be against the
goals of the labor movement that argued for better
working conditions and economic prosperity.
The Manifesto was part of the main beliefs of the
labor movement in Queensland and Australia.
It helped advance the movement’s goals and focused
on succeeding in elections to add more seats in the
· ICDH
parliament.
