Life on Land
Civilization was created around river streams and oceans, and every
human activity had its base on dry land. Necessities of shelter, food,
and clothing materials were made possible with nature's giving. Variant
research and technological development on the natural resources and
chemical compounds gave way to new substances, with humans using
the best out of what they are offered.
Development should be sustainable, in harmony with nature. However, it is
quite challenging to say that development occurred while considering the
possible impacts on the terrestrial ecosystem. The deforestation of tropical
regions, rainforests, and loss of biodiversity will threaten human survival.
Our role would be to drive the planet to regain its environmental functions
through sustainable management and protection systems, restoring
forests, rivers, mountains, and deserted lands. Securing ecological
habitats will contribute to preserving natural species and protecting the
natural ecosystem. We must remember that the planet is not ours to
monopolize. We are just one of the many species living among other living
organisms, and it would be our responsibility to minimize the harm made
upon nature.
