                                Climate Action

Climate action is undoubtedly one of the best-known global agendas and
SDGs. Since the industrial revolution, human impacts have drastically
influenced the overall climate and weather conditions. Immense amounts
of greenhouse gas emissions with the perpetual use of fossil fuels are
ongoing contributors, leading to extreme weather change, rising sea

levels, and warming oceans. This environmental change is putting cultural
livelihoods and natural ecosystems that continued for centuries at risk,
threatening the lives of many populations.

Continuous international efforts have been made during the United Nations
Framework Convention on Climate Change, such as the Copenhagen
Accord (2009) and Paris Agreement (2015), agreeing to maintain the global

temperature to 2˚C, preferably reducing it to 1.5˚C above pre-industrial
levels. The initial goal was to achieve zero-carbon dioxide emissions by
2050, and many states contributed to preparing national adaptation plans
                    and domestic targets.

But sadly, the past six years from 2015 to 2020 were considered the
warmest period in recorded history. If emissions continue like today, the
global temperature is estimated to rise by 3.2˚C. By 2030, the international
society must drastically reduce global emissions to half 2010 levels to

prevent further damage and meet its previously set goals.

With less than a decade left, we have many difficulties to overcome. What
documents, recordings, videos on this subject will be left? Will it last as a
memoir of endeavor or a lesson of history?
