Clean Water
and Sanitation
Whenever we see the news finding a new planet, the question of whether
water is there never misses out. Animals live near water basins, and early
humans built civilizations around grand rivers. Like so, water is the source
of life for all living organisms on this Earth. It is undoubtedly an essential
resource for survival, and humans have utilized water resources for the
driving power of many developments.
An irreplaceable, fundamental resource, water, is ironically prone to
numerous challenges, and due course, populations exposed to challenged
water resources are under threat. Due to climate changes, pollution, and
geographical reasons, many societies are exposed to low water access.
Billions worldwide live without clean drinking water, including those for
sanitation purposes. For holistic access to safe water resources and
assure protective measures and action are highly required globally.
Understanding the value of water resources, efforts to improve water
management is key to many solutions. Preventing water pollution and any
further damage is economically efficient and can also ease many conflicts
and improve resource management, biodiversity, and climate change,
fostering capacity-building and international support.
What would you like to say about clean water and sanitation for
generations to come? Would we be able to enjoy clean water as we do
now? What messages could we deliver?
