 Field Visit Highlights
 Baekri Seomseom-gil, Yeosu

02 The delegation visited Yeosu’s “Baekri Seomseom-
Vol. gil,” a coastal road project connecting islands via
11 bridges, seven of which are completed and four
still under construction (expected by 2028). The
Japanese guests were especially impressed by the
natural scenery and engineering that linked each
island. Yeosu City, preparing to host the 2026 World
Island Expo, expressed its hope that Japanese island
 governments will participate through step-by-step
exchanges leading up to the event.
