 Byeongpungdo Baram-gil Trail (Shinan)

 Byeongpungdo Baram-gil Trail, Sinan
A Masterpiece Painted by Wind and Nature

True to its name, the Baram-gil (Wind Trail) on
Byeongpungdo is sculpted by natural forces. In
the fall, bright red cockscomb flowers line the
 trail, creating a surreal landscape.

The stories of the island’s women—who have
long lived and worked on the tidal flats—add
emotional depth to the scenery. The Seomtiago
Pilgrimage Route, connected by the Noddeok-gil,
 links Byeongpungdo with neighboring islands
like Sogijeomdo, Daegijeomdo, and Soakdo. It’s
a moving journey into the lives, wisdom, and
 resilience of the island people.

Special local flavors, like cockscomb flower
makgeolli, red salt, and flower teas, reflect the
warmth and generosity of the community.
